You are invited to MYSTIQUE, an exciting evening of music, art, wine and food. Held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 6pm to 9pm at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, CA, the evening will feature the exhilarating group, “Café Musique”, and enable guests to enjoy the museum exhibits.
Café Musique ignites their audiences with a kaleidoscope of musical genres creating a unique blend that includes gypsy, swing, tango, folk and their self-defined genre, “wild classical.” From the central coast of California, the six members eat, sleep and breathe music and come from widely varying backgrounds. Having performed around the world on the stages of world-class music festivals, Café Musique has made thousands of fans of their powerful, emotive and beautiful sound.
As a group and individually, they have shared the stage, performed and recorded with renowned artists including Doc Severinsen, David Grisman Quintet, Los Lobos, Grammy award-winner Louis Ortega, musical madman Joe Craven, songwriter Jill Knight and Broadway vocalist Sarah Kleeman.
Guests will also have the opportunity to explore the engaging modern and contemporary Latin American art exhibits during the first hour of the event. It is the only museum in the United States dedicated to modern and contemporary Latin American and Latino Art.
