Amazing Asian Fusion

Greeting the year of the Rooster just in time for the start of Chinese New Year on January 28th, this lively group of PCLAP members, spouses and friends enjoyed a tour of the world famous Chen Art Gallery.  The gallery houses many priceless Chinese artworks from antiquity and modern times, as well as European art and Faberge eggs.  After the tour, the group had lunch at nearby Japanese restaurant, Nozomi, completing the Amazing Asian Fusion package that was sold at last year’s Auction.  The tour and lunch was hosted by Marian Duntley, Karen Gottlieb and Jane Beseda.  Great way to start the year!

As Paula Del Vicario passed the torch to incoming President Marian Hall, we remembered the many successes of Paula’s leadership at the helm of the Peninsula Committee.  Thank you Paula for two-in-a-row outstanding years.

Marian Hall recognized the rich legacy that spans our 65 years since we were founded in 1952.  Through the decades, we have been resilient and adapted to change, while keeping the best of what we do.  As we tackle the challenges of the next era, Marian invited us to be part of the team that sets the vision for our future.  Save the date for an All Member meeting on March 29 at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center.  We need your ideas!

The Peninsula Committee’s Music in the Garden is only two short months away. Mark your calendar for Sunday, March 5, 2017, 12:00-4:00 PM. Once again the South Coast Botanic Garden will be the venue for a wonderful afternoon of entertainment provided by young musicians from the Peninsula and South Bay schools. This will be held during the Garden’s annual Cherry Blossom Festival so come listen to the music and enjoy the beauty of the Cherry Trees!
