Fanfare to Fall Preview

If you’d like a sneak preview of one of the Fanfare to Fall festured performers, pianist Robert Thies will be performing Beethoven’s Trio in G major for flute, bassoon and piano at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Thursday, October 14 at 8:00 PM.

A renowned artist praised for his “thoughtful and intensely moving interpretations,” he enjoys a diverse career as an orchestral soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.  He is sought after as a master class teacher, chamber music coach and lecturer and presently serves on the faculty of the Colburn School of Performing Arts.

Theis has also worked and recorded with many of the top studio musicians and film composers.  His playing can be heard most recently on the winning score of The Life of Pi,  Danny Elfman’s concert piece Serenada Schizophrana, and the North American tour of Star Wars in Concert.

If you can’t make it to Disney Hall, you will have a chance to enjoy Robert Theis’ performance at the Peninsula Committee’s Fanfare to Fall on Sunday, November 2 at 4:00 PM.  Tickets are still available.
