A Touch of Venice in Naples

Bravo to the class of 2013 Provisionals, who brought a touch of  Venice to PCLAP’s summer calendar with a sunset gondola ride.

Gondola 1

When they first thought of a gondola ride for an auction item, they weren’t sure it would sell.  Then it oversold!  But they weren’t fazed by that.  They jumped right in and created a memorable evening for 26 lucky winners.  Guests sipped champagne and enjoyed appetizers on deck before boarding two gondolas bound for the Naples canals.

The gondoliers regaled us with song and witty commentary.  The ride ended just after sunset with spectacular views of the Long Beach Harbor.

Many thanks to Marian Hall, Joellen Alflen, Deb McDonald, Nancy Siskowic, Renee Line and Jann Feldman for a fun evening and excellent auction fundraiser.

  1. Well done, ladies. May you enjoy many, many happy times as members of our exceptional Committee. It has definitely enriched my live, and those of my family, throughout my almost 30 years of membership, and we couldn’t support a more glorious cause when it comes to advancing the arts, especially promoting the “Universal Language” of music.
